Overview of Authorization Steps
Check Email
Receive an email "Google Ads account wants to connect your YouTube channel".
Click Email Link
Go to the request review page in YouTube Studio.
Review Connection Request
Confirm the request is from the Google Ads account you specified.
Approve Connection
Name the connection and click the "Complete" or "Approve" button.
Find the Request in YouTube Studio
Go to YouTube Studio
Sign in to studio.youtube.com and enter your channel.
Go to Settings
Click on "Settings" in the left menu, then select the "Channel" and "Advanced settings" tabs.
Find the Linking Block
Scroll down to find the "Google Ads account linking" block, and click "Link account".
What will happen to my video
Original video remains unchanged
The original videos on your channel will not be modified, edited, or moved.
View count increases
The views generated by the ads will be counted towards the public view count displayed on the video page.
Interactions calculated normally
Audience interactions such as likes, shares, or subscriptions to your channel through the ads will be calculated normally.
YPP calculation difference
Watch time from paid ads usually does not count towards the "public watch time" required to apply for the YouTube Partner Program.

We cannot see your channel earnings, private videos, or detailed channel analytics data.

You can unlink your channel from the Google Ads account at any time through YouTube Studio settings.
